Dr. Mark Forwood, DMD

Dr. Forwood grew up in neighboring Wallingford and graduated from Strath Haven High School.  He attended college at Lehigh University where he majored in Behavioral Neuroscience. Upon graduation, he worked at the Lankenau Institute of Medical Research doing cancer research before starting school in 2010 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Forwood graduated in 2014 with his DMD and subsequently completed a general practice residency at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Reading, PA.  Since completing his residency, Dr. Forwood has spent the past 4 years working in a private dental practice in Clifton Heights, PA.  

Dr. Forwood is excited to have an office located in Swarthmore where he has a long family history. His father grew up in Swarthmore and graduated from Swarthmore High School.  After his residency, Mark returned to Wallingford and currently lives there with his wife Christina and two young children Jackson and Lilly. 

Kellie

Office Manager

Kellie began her dental career in 2011 as a dental receptionist, transitioning her way to treatment plan coordinator and then office manager in 2016. She strives to ensure that each of our patients has an exceptional experience with a full understanding of their individual dental care. Kellie has a passion for animal rescue and can often be found volunteering with local rescue groups or spending time with her friends, family and her dog, Charlie. She enjoys outdoor adventures and is happiest at the beach or lake with a good book. 

Jeanne

Dental Assistant

Jeanne attended Lyons Technical Institute, where she earned her certificate in Dental Assisting, and graduated with top honors.  She then attended Harcum Junior College and received additional accreditation in Expanded Functions. She aspires to continually gain knowledge, and educate her patients about attaining excellent dental health. Jeanne volunteers some of her spare time to various charitable activities, such as Meals on Wheels, lecturing at church, and teaching religious studies.  On weekends, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and gardening.

 
 

Maggie

Hygienist

Maggie received her associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Harcum College in 2017. Her main focus is to educate patients on preventive oral care to help maintain healthy mouths. In her spare time, Maggie can be found spending time with her family and friends or relaxing at the beach in the summertime. 

Shannon

Hygienist

Shannon is a lifetime resident of Clifton Heights. She graduated Harcum College Dental Hygiene program in 2017. Prior to pursuing a career in Dentistry Shannon worked as a Certified Hospital Pharmacy Technician for Main Line Health. She strives to make her patients feel comfortable and enjoys educating patients on their oral health and finding personalized recommendations for each patient. Shannon is a self proclaimed “plant lady” that enjoys taking care of her many plants, and in her free time she loves  going to concerts, fishing, and spending time in Potter County.  

Erica

Hygienist

Erica began her dental hygiene career when she graduated from Harcum College in 2015. She enjoys educating patients on different aids and techniques to promote the best oral health possible for each individual patient. Her goal is to not only make patients feel comfortable and look forward to coming back to the office but to feel confident with their home care as well. Erica lives nearby with her husband Matt, their daughter Vienna and their dog Bandit. They love spending time with their family and friends especially trips to Brigantine and Sea Isle in the summertime. 

Darrion

Front Desk Coordinator

Darrion completed the dental assisting course at All-State Career School which started her 9 year career in dentistry. Ultimately, she decided that helping patients understand their insurance benefits, and being the comforting liaison between the clinical aspect and patient, was where she wanted to be. She and her husband are busy raising their 3 beautiful daughters, as well as their rambunctious puppy, Buddy. During her free time, you can often find Darrion running from one extracurricular activity to the next, bringing her girls to cheer/gymnastics/dance competitions and spending time with husband Chris, family and friends making memories.
